Symbolflagga för arbetstagarorganisation inom järnvägen.
Två stycken fackföreningsfanor skänktes till museet 1995 av Statsanställdas förbund.
Sveriges Järnvägsmannaförbund som på 1960-talet övergick till att heta Statsanställdas förbund av 1250 (siffran 1 står för järnvägsavdelning), var fram till och med 1980-talet Sveriges största järnvägsfackavdelning. Den järnvägspersonal som fackföreningen företrädde var tågklarerare, trafikledningspersonal, biljettörer, informatörer, resebyråfolk, chefsekreterare, arbetsledare inom de flesta järnvägsyrkena, samt kanslipersonal - det man inom järnvägen kallar "innetjänster". 1995 upphörde Statsanställdas förbund och ersattes av SEKO. Torbjörn Björnstedt blev avdelningens siste ordförande 1989-1985. Då hade avdelningen 700 medlemmar varav 400 fortfarande aktiva/i tjänst. Medlemmarna fanns i Stockholm och Mälardalen, från Örbyhus/Gimo i Norr och Norrköping i söder och Enköping i väster.
2008 hörde Torbjörn Björnstedt av sig till museet med en önskan om att försäkra sig om möjligheten att få låna fanorna vid begravningstillfällen för före detta styrelsemedlemmar i föreningen. En sed inom föreningen var att man kunde få fanan med sig vid sin egen bår: "Det var här man var hemma - kamratskapet".
En överenskommelse skrevs då där Sveriges Järnvägsmuseum medger att vid särskilda tillfällen, framförallt vid begravning låna ut fanan Jvm 19596 till före detta medlemmar av styrelsen för Statsanställdas förbund 1250.
