- Sötningsmedlet Crystallosetter markandsfördes i tablettform under 1910- och 1920-talen i Sverige som ett alternativ till ordinärt socker. Produkten tillverkades vid Chemische Fabrik von Heyden, anlagd 1874 i Radebeul-Dresden, där en rad farmaceutiska specialpreparat och finkemikalier framgångsrikt producerades för en framväxande massmarkand, bland annat salicylsyra och sötningsmedlet Zuckerin. Markandsföringen betonade att sötningsmedlet till skillnad från sockret var lättsmält och oskadligt, att det var 450 gånger sötare än vanligt socker och därför mycket billigare att använda. Produkten hör till sötsaksmarkanden under 1900-talet och speglar, i kombination med dåtidens markandsföring, idéerna om sockrets fettbildande och hälsovådliga konsekvenser.

Asken har använts för förvaring av ett par ljusstakmattor (NM.0207348) i Nordiska museets magasin. Inlämnad av konservator för förvärv i samband med utställningen Socker 2015.
