Anna Hådell 1908-2014
Anna Hådell hade sina rötter i det jordbrukande Gävleborgs län, men växte upp i Stora Tuna. Hon utbildade sig till vävlärare vid Brunssons vävskola i Stockholm. 1936 fick Anna anställning på det nybildade företaget Lund och Wahlund, senare Alice Lunds vävateljé, i Domnarvet i Borlänge, som tillverkade hemvävda moderna textil- ier. 1947 ansvarade hon bl a för garn- och textilproduktionen vid föreningen för Svensk Hemslöjd i Stockholm. Anna Hådell hade en lång och gedigen historia inom hemslöjdsrörelsen. Som föreståndare arbetade hon för länshemslöjden i Jämtland under hela 1950-talet och för Leksands Hemslöjd åren 1961–1975.
Anna Hådell bodde fram till sin död 2014 i Söderlundska gården i Leksand.
Leksands Hemslöjd 1961–1975
Anna Hådell formgav och komponerade, gjorde beskrivningar och lät framställa en rad mattor, vävar, dukar och plädar som ofta byggde på traditionella mönster. Hon utvecklade samtidigt en egen stil, med utgångspunkt i nordisk flora och fauna.
Anna Hådell gjorde även många större kyrkliga arbeten, t ex kormattor, altartavlor, mässhakar och kollekthåvar. Den offentliga inredningen var även en betydelsefull del i hennes skapande. Bl a gardiner till Kulturhuset i Stockholm och mattan ”Kaktusblomma” till Tingshuset i Leksand.
