WASA var ett tvådäckat 60 kanoners linjeskepp, byggt i Karlskrona efter ritningar av Fredrik Henrik af Chapman och sjösatt 1778. Hon blev prototyp för de tio linjeskepp av standardtyp som byggdes i Karlskrona 1782–1785 med vissa modifieringar som ökat antal kanoner och förbättrat skydd för övre batteridäck. WASA deltog i sjötågen under Gustav III:s ryska krig 1788–1790. År 1803 såldes fartyget till Ostindiska kompaniet och användes för en resa till Kanton 1803–1805. År 1808 återköptes hon av kronan och byggdes om till ett 50-kanonersskepp. WASA slopades 1827 och sänktes slutligen i Djupasund utanför Karlskrona 1836.
