”Sigillum Civitatis Konongsell”. Kungahälla stads sigill, troligen från 1200-talet.
Sigillavtryck skänktes till museet på 1860-talet av Gustaf Brusewitz som var intendent på Göteborgs Museum, historiska avdelningen.

- History
Gustaf Brusewitz (1812-1899).
Brusewitz anställdes på Göteborgs Museum 1864. Han var intendent på den historiska avdelningen där han arbetade i många år fram till 1891.
Brusewitz ägnade sig åt ockås måleri och fornforskning. Han reste runt och tecknade av mängder av bohuslänska fornlämningar.
Han gav ut flera skrifter om Bohusläns arkeologi och äldre historia.
Under sina resor i Bohuslän tittade Brusewitz in på museet i Uddevalla. Det är mycket troligt att museets konservatris Carolina Christiansson
kom i kontakt med honom när det gällde den växande samlingen av ”fornsaker”, som man på den tiden hade så svårt att tolka.
I sin bok Elfsyssel skriver han:
”En inrättning, den man icke skulle väntat sig i en småstad som Uddevalla, är dess museum.
Man finner der ganska mycket sevärdt, äfven i arkäologiskt afseende.”
Brusewitz skänkte sina målningar ”Familjeinteriör” och "Lekande barn" samt flera lackavtryck av gamla sigill till Uddevalla museum.
